Girls rugby program at Surfers Paradise Rugby Union Club

In 2017, Surfers Paradise Dolphins proudly introduced the first all-girls Rugby 7s team. We pride ourselves on providing each player, even those just starting out, with ample playing time to hone their skills.

Our teams are a diverse mix of experience levels, from girls who had never touched a Rugby ball to those who played with the boys since U6. Some are carrying on a family tradition with parents proudly watching their daughter don the green and gold jersey as second or third-generation Dolphin. Despite our differences, we all share a deep passion for the game and a strong sense of belonging to the Rugby Family.
